Frobisher Says and t@g the first of Vita's Discovery Apps

Two neat little apps will be free to European Vita owners thanks to Sony's Discovery Apps scheme.

According to the EU PS Blog, Frobisher Says and t@g are just two of a whole range of free apps coming to the Arab Emirates, Australian, New Zealand and UK PlayStation Stores, designed to showcase some of the Vita's more unique features.

Bolser's t@g uses is a GPS-based AR tagging system, whereby players design and place street art on real world structures using the Vita's cameras. It only works with the 3G model, and is due in May.

Players compete to virtually tag the most interesting locations, avoiding the legal ramifications and physical danger of graffiti, and earn respect and t@ggits to progress through the ranks. Leaderboards and comments provide a social aspect. Check out a trailer below.

Frobisher Says is a silly party game you can keep in your pocket, in which a man with a silly man makes all kinds of demands on players. There are 50 games in total, using all of the Vita's control schemes including both touch panels, gyroscope and camera, and the title supports up to eight players.

Those who pre-order a Vita will score the game for free at launch, while everyone else has to wait until May. Trailer below.
