Destiny 2 - here's what the Hunter gauntlets look like after Bungie removed the "hate symbol"

As promised, the latest Destiny 2 patch changed the design of one of the Hunter items in the game for having a "hate symbol."

The Destiny 2 hotfix 1.0.1.3 was released yesterday following a few hours of maintenance. Among other things, it removed the symbol from all versions of the Road Complex AA1 Hunter gauntlets.

Bungie quickly acted last week after fans brought similarities between the gauntlets' design and a known hate symbol to its attention, promising to "scrub it from the game altogether".

The change in design for these Legendary gauntlets really is as simple as removing the art. The rest of the gauntlet looks the same, and it's a bit weird nothing replaced the old symbol.

As you can see in gallery below (via Gamespot), the new look is a bit bland. Still, it's better to be bland than offensive.

The patch also fixed a bug that prevented some players from getting the Man O' War Linear Fusion rifle. For more on Bungie's big sequel, our Destiny 2 guide was recently updated with five essential tips for the Leviathan raid.
