Ubisoft CEO addresses recent controversies surrounding the company

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has addressed the recent controversies surrounding the company in a video.

In the video, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot promises to take greater action against toxicity in the workplace and to increase diversity.

Guillemot talks about some of the steps the company has taken towards the issues surrounding the company after many were either fired or left.

He goes on to state in the video Ubisoft plans to make a $1 investment into a graduate program to create more opportunities for people of color and women with a donation being handed to the NAACP.

The video was shared ahead of Ubisoft Forward, which kicks off this afternoon.

Over the past couple of months,  the company’s PR director Stone Chin was fired as Ubisoft conducted investigations into allegations of harassment and abuse in the workplace. And, following a number of allegations Ubisoft announced the departure of three of its top executives: Serge Hascoet, Cecile Cornet, and Ubisoft Canada head Yannis Mallat.

In light of the allegations, Ubisoft took some steps following the harassment allegations with a five point action plan.
