Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is really well-positioned to capitalise on the enormous popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is probably why Capcom is actually bothering to promote it instead of sitting in a corner grouching about how fighting games are niche and it needs to sell 5 million copies of anything to even bother.
Hence the lengthy E3 2017 trailer, which was played in full during Sony’s presser. It’s quite good, if you like that sort of thing, and by “that sort of thing” we mean Rocket Racoon battling with Dante from Devil May Cry. Probably you do.
Anyway the real news here is that there’s a Marvel vs Capcom Infinite story demo available right now. Go download it and enjoy it.
Wait! Maybe the real news is that Thanos, Gamora, Nova, Black Panther, Zero and Dante are joining the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite cast? Some of these seem a little surprising given the lineup of the last few games, but again, that’s the MCU influence at play – and not having the X-Men license, of course.
