Hyper Light Drifter releases on PS4 and Xbox One this month

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will be able to get their hands on Heart Machine's Hyper Light Drifter later this month.

The developer confirmed a July 26 release date for current-gen systems to Gematsu.

A price wasn't provided for the action-RPG, but we expect it to be inline with versions currently available for $19.99. We'll let you know.

Hyper Light Drifter was successfully funded through Kickstarter and greenlit on Steam back in 2013. It was released through GOG and Steam back in March for PC and Mac.

The Vita version is still in the works, with external support aiding Heart Machine with optimization of the handheld version. It is slated for a release this fall "at the earliest."

It seems the “internal contractual issues” keeping the Wii U version in "limbo" have been smoothed out. According to the last update on the Hyper Light Drifter Kickstarter page, the team is in the process of "finalizing the last details on this port," and should have more information available soon.
