This Torment: Tides of Numenera video introduces you to the Ninth World
A new Torment: Tides of Numenera video has been released by inXile Entertainment giving you a glimpse of combat and The Ninth World.
The Ninth World is Earth, only one billion years in the future, and is filled with remnants of civilizations which existed during the "previous eight worlds."

Torment was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter in 2013, and was originally slated for release during the first half of 2015. The developer announced in April 2014 the game was being delayed into Q4 2015.
Tides of Numenera is a spiritual successor to the RPG from Black Isle Studios, Planescape: Torment, but is set in the world of Numenera, which is derived from Monte Cook's tabletop game.
Initially the team needed $900,000 in order to develop the title, but in the end, 74,405 backers pledged $4,188,927 fro the Linux, Mac and PC title.
