Lucina, Robin and Captain Falcon are the new Super Smash Bros. characters

Evo brings with it lots of exciting news for all fighting game fans and as promised, Nintendo has revealed three new playable characters for Super Smash Bros.

The new playable heroes are Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening, with the ability to choose between either a male or female variant, similar to Animal Crossing's Villager. F-Zero's Captain Falcon, will also be making a return.

In addition to the three playable characters mentioned above, Chrom from Fire Emblem, will be available as an Assist Trophy, though he could very well be an unannounced playable character, yet to be revealed.

And one last surprise, Masahiro Sakura has confirmed that Rayman will be included, but only as a trophy. Here it is:
