Vektropolis from Dark Computer Entertainment resurfaces on Kickstarter

Vektropolis, the Dark Computer Entertainment arcade shooter, which has players fly around in an aircraft shooting enemies and rescuing civilians has taken to Kickstarter.

The Leeds-based studio originally planned to release the game on Mac version in January 2013, and other formats such as Android, iPhone, PS3, and Vita were being explored.

Per the Kickstarter page, the team will use crowdfunding to create a single-player mode with ship upgrades and Oculus Rift support.

After an October release and Steam Early Access version, should funding prove successful, co-op and competitive multiplayer will be added along with city upgrades.

Vektropolis has 20 days to reach its £50,000 goal and as of press time, four backers have pledged £150.
