Monstrum: first-person survival horror game gets first gameplay footage

Monstrum is the new survival game out of Scottish developer Team Junkfish, in which the player must avoid a deadly force on board a derelict sea freighter. The team has released its debut gameplay footage for your viewing pleasure.

The clip comes from Eurogamer, which explains that Monstrum's maps are procedurally-generated, keeping the rusting, damp corridors of the ship fresh and intimidating. There's only one monster too, and it can't be killed. It'll stalk you endlessly as you roam and try to find a means of escape.

Sounds ever so slightly terrifying. It also supports Oculus Rift, which surely ramps up the tension. You can get more details over on the Monstrum Steam Greenlight page.
