Sony has sold over 900,000 PS4 cameras to date, resulting in stock shortage

Sony has revealed that it underestimated demand of its PlayStation 4 camera peripheral, with over 900,000 units sold since the console launched in November.

Gamespot reports that during a GDC session, senior staff developer support engineer at Sony Chris Norden said that as a result of unexpected demand the camera is now, "severely supply constrained."

Of course; it's probable that the figure has been bolstered by cameras already bundled with PS4 hardware, but Norden revealed that the device actually has a console attach rate of 15%.

He asked fans to "please be patient," while Sony attempts to fulfil demand.

Do you own the PS Camera? If so, what do you think?
