Square Enix has handed North American publishing duties to Wakfu developer Ankama Games as of March 1. Massively reports the news was detailed on an FAQ and official announcement, but the pages are inaccessible without logging in; happily, the transition is not expected to affect player data. The publisher change follows lay-offs at Square Enix’s Los Angeles office, which handles its US MMO publishing, but no official explanation was given for the decision.
