Planetside 2 beta delayed for further ‘polishing’

By Dave Cook, Tuesday, 31 July 2012 14:17 GMT

Planetside 2 was supposed to enter a beta phase at the start of this week, but eager gamers will have to wait a little longer, but not too long.

Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley confirmed the delay in a series of tweets.

However, the delay should be a short one, as Smedley suggests the beta could take place on either ‘Friday or Monday’.

“Had planned for today or tomorrow,” explained Medley, “but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome. The team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive number of people.”

We’ll have more on the Planetside 2 beta as it happens, and you can register for it now over at the Planetside 2 site.
