THQ announce ‘WWE 12 Wrestlemania Edition

By Alex Donaldson, Monday, 2 April 2012 15:59 GMT

THQ have today announced a special edition of WWE ’12 that’ll arrive in May and feature a bunch of extra downloadable content.

The new release is designed as a “complement” to the original release and offers everything from WWE ’12 with a bunch of extra DLC on top for the same price. That includes The Rock and WWE Hall of Fame inductees Shawn Michaels, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross.

The pack also includes former greats “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Trish Stratus and Batista and current personalities Mick Foley, Brodus Clay, Michael Cole, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Vickie Guerrero, Kharma and Alicia Fox.

Playable characters aren’t all, as the package also includes some alternate costumes – Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, Edge and Christian.

Titled the “Wrestlemania Edition”, this announcement follows off the back of the actual Wrestlemania event, which took place last night [How’s your father, Punk!? – JC].

The new edition is planned for a release on the 360 and PS3 in May. Regular old WWE ’12 is available now.
