European 3DS owners will be able to view exclusive 3D episodes of stop-motion animation Shaun the Sheep through Nintendo’s SpotPass service.

Only 15 of the 80 episode-long Aardman Animations series will be distributed via SpotPass. It will be the first time the show has been distributed in stereoscopic 3D.

The first episode drops on Match 7 via Nintendo Video, which can be downloaded for free from the eShop.

Thanks to SpotPass, free video content is automatically downloaded whenever your 3DS is connected to a WiFi network – even in sleep mode. Each piece of content is stored for a limited time only.
