Oh, job listings, you are indeed the curse of keeping things quiet. While nobody’s been quite sure what Sony Santa Monica has been up to since God of War 3 was released last year, we’re now seeing inklings that at least some of the team is working on an all-new IP.

The news was spotted by G4tv, who noticed something unusual in the pages of Gamasutra’s help-wanted ads.

Predictably, it doesn’t say much. The Californian company is working on an “unannounced new IP”, and is looking for a Senior Level Designer. Looking a little closer, the detectives among you will note that “Experience in designing or contributing to the development of an “open world” game is a plus” – suggesting that this new project takes more than a few steps away from the ultra-linear God of War.

Sony, of course, are keeping mum on the topic.
