Namco Bandai has posted its earnings for its first quarter of fiscal year 2012 which ended on June 30, and the firm reports net sales of ¥88.2 billion ($1.1 million), a 7.7 percent increase year-over-year.

The content segment, which includes Namco’s games business, saw a sales increase of 8.1 percent to ¥35.6 billion ($463,000).

Operating income for the content segment was ¥519 million ($6.7 million), up from a ¥619 million ($8 million) loss in the previous corresponding quarter.

Game software sales were at ¥10.4 billion ($135 million).

Big shippers for the firm in Japan included One Piece Unlimited Cruse SP on 3DS with 170,000 units, Tales of the Abyss on 3DS with 150,000 units, and Super Robot Wars on PSP with 70,000 units and in the US Ridge Racer 3DS shipped 90,000.

Sales for The Witcher 2 on PC where not noted in the financial documents. Hopefully, we’ll see those soon.
