Rhys Davies added to Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12 as "brand ambassador"

EA Sports has announced it's signed Welsh golf pro Rhys Davies to Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters as a brand ambassador for the franchise. Players will also be able to wear his logo on in-game shirts in all competitions throughout the year.

This is the first time EA Sports has sponsored a golfer who plays on the European Tour.

"I’m delighted to be appearing in the new game and especially proud to be the first European Tour golf brand ambassador for EA Sports,” said Davies. "It’s every golfer’s dream to be immortalized in a video game and I can’t wait to compete against my virtual character.

"As a tour professional, I am privileged to experience some of the world’s best golf courses, many of which are featured in the game. I look forward to getting some vital practice on these courses in the game before tackling them for real."

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters will hit retail in North America on March 29 and worldwide on April 1 for Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 with Move support. The later will include five additional courses via the PS3-exclusive Collector’s Edition.
