Dutch indie Vlambeer will return to Sony platforms with dogfight action effort Luftrausers. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, Vlambeer said that it had a great experience brining Super Crate Box to PS Mobile and through a deal with Devolver Digital has had smooth sailing this time, too, allowing it to focus on making better explosions and 125 variants of aircraft. Check out a trailer through the break; Luftrausers is due on PlayStation 3 and Vita in northern spring.

Ridiculous Fishing developer Vlambeer has suggested that developers need to stop being afraid of charging $3 for mobile games, partly because it’s impossible to create a “non-evil” freemium model. They say such ‘free’ methods simply don’t reflect well.

Super Crate Box developer Vlambeer has sent Ridiculous Fishing to Apple for certification. This is something of a triumph for the tiny indie; in a new blog post, the team detail the heartbreak of being raced to market by a copycat, which went on to great success. The team nearly disbanded altogether but eventually persevered, turning flash original Radical Fishing into iOS title Ridiculous Fishing – A Tale of Redemption. Look for it on the App Store soon. Vlambeer is also responsible for the greatest game ever made and took part in the recent Mojam.
