PS4 and PS Vita get a lot of new indie announcements, all here

PS4 architect Mark Cerny took to the stage during Sony's gamescom press event and discussed more of the consoles technical innards.

Shahid Ahmad then took to the stage to stress how closely Sony has been listening to indies, and that freedom to create what you want, release what you want and choose the device you want is central to the company's indie strategy.

Here's a short list:

N++ is coming exclusively to PS4 this winter.
Mike Bithell's Volume is coming on consoles first to PS4 and PS Vita next year.
Guns of Icarus Online is coming to PS4 first in 2014.
Vlambeer's Wasteland Kings is coming to consoles first on PS4 and PS Vita first in 2014.
Hotline Miami 2 is coming to consoles first on PS4 and PS Vita next year.
FEZ and Velocity 2X from Futurelab coming to PS Vita.
Starbound from Chucklefish is coming to PS Vita.

Sony said its indie development support comes through in not only a financial matter by loaning out dev kits, but by helping the studios through its incubation program to ensure projects made are the first console debut.
