It’s silly season, as Pat so eloquently didn’t put it, so here’s a – deep breath now – teaser trailer for a trailer to be shown at the VGAs for a game not to be confused with the prequel of very similar name.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron announced via November Game Informer
Activision has announced Transformers: Fall of Cybertron via the next Game Informer cover. According to the magazine, which will sport two different covers, Grimlock will be playable character and morph into his famed Dinobot form. The other cover shows Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. More on the game is revealed in the November issue, which is expected to land in mail boxes October 11. The game is out in 2012.

Jagex developing Transformers MMO
Runescape-owner Jagex said today it’s developing an MMO based on Transformers. The game is to launch in 2012 in North America, Latin America, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. No other detail was given – as to whether this will be a browser-based affair, and so on – but it’s confirmed that Hasbro is to “launch” the game.

Euro PS3 movie-watchers get two-for one deal, free Transformers
SCEE’s just detailed a few deals for its now-released Euro movie store, as you can see here.
If you download Angels & Demons between November 19-30, you get a PSN voucher code for The Da Vinci Code, usually priced at £6.99, at no additional charge. Amazing.
Also, anyone who registers for a PSN account between those dates gets Transformers for free. And no, that doesn’t apply if you’re already registered.

Game with Fame: Play Transformers with Megan Fox on 360

The new Game with Fame session this Saturday at 3:00pm PST/6:00pm EST is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
For those who own the game, you could get a chance to play with Megan Fox.
Fox will be playing the new DLC content during her Game with Fame session and her Gamertag will be “Megan Fox 2009″. If you’re an Xbox Live Gold Member, send a friend request to her and be online half an hour before the session starts.
Who knows, you may receive an invite to play.

New James Bond, Tony Hawk, Spider-Man and Transformers in 2010, says Activision

Activision company president and CEO Mike Griffith has revealed that we’ll see new James Bond, Tony Hawk, Spider-Man, and Transformers titles in 2010.
There’ll be a Shrek 4 game too, thank God.
The news comes via Gamespot, who listened in on Activision’s pre-E3 presser yesterday.

Spider-Man 4 and another Transformers expected in 2010
Activison has put High Moon Studios and Radical to task on creating a new Transformers game and Spider-Man 4, respectively, according to a Variety report.
ActiBlizz CEO Bobby Kotick has previously stated that he wants the Transformers franchise to be an annual thing, so this is really no big shock.
According to The Cut Scene, neither game is tied to a movie and both are expected to release sometime in 2010.
This summer, the second Transformers game, Revenge of the Fallen, was developed by Luxoflux and is expected to co-launch with the film.

Loads of folks have posted impressions of Luxoflux’s upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, thanks to a preview from Activision.
The general consensus is that the developers did a better job this time around. Phew.
