Crytek approves Timesplitters mod, original assets may be used
Timesplitters 4 may have gone down in flames at the publisher stage, but that doesn’t mean the series is as dead as history itself. Crytek has green-lit a Timesplitters mod, and now Daniel Wesoly – leader of a 100,000-strong Facebook group dedicated to the game is looking for modders to make it a reality.

Timesplitters fans campaign for 100,000 Likes
Following on from Crytek boss Cevat Yerli’s comments to press and Twitter followers about the uncertainty of demand for a new Timesplitters game, fans have launched a Facebook campaign to gather 100,000 demandees. That Yerli himself asked for a demonstration lends some hope that this effort won’t go the way of Operation Rainfall. The Timesplitters series ran to three core releases, and was the product of Free Radical, now Crytek UK.

Crytek “thinking about” how to bring back TimeSplitters
Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli has said the company is “thinking about” how and where to bring back TimeSplitters, but insists there’s “no concrete plans” in place as yet.
