The new movie adaptation of The Avengers is looking pretty good, shaping up for a cinematic release in the middle of next year. However, the video game tie-in isn’t doing so well, following the recent closure of both Australian THQ studios, who were developing the game.

Now, because you can’t have a movie without a game, Marvel Comics is looking for a development partner to work on a new licensed rendition.

A game based on the upcoming Avengers movie next year was in development at THQ Australia, according to a CV from someone who had worked at THQ Australia. As spotted by WouldYouKindly, the senior animator had posted footage of Thor, Captain America and Hawkeye at work, with another illustrator showing concept art from a pitch dating back to “a few months back.” The video’s since been pulled by a copyright claim from Marvel.
