Capcom has released another teaser video for Street Fighter X Tekken. This one is obviously the Tekken 6 version of Hwoarang – as if his pants weren’t a big enough hint. Game’s slated for sometime next year, although there isn’t an exact date just yet.

Namco Bandai’s announced that Tekken 6 is now available on 360′s Games on Demand. The most recent addition to the franchise, which has sold 35 million units worldwide, features “the biggest character line up in the series history, brand-new Scenario Campaign mode, spectacular high-definition 60fps visuals” and online play. Get it queued here, if you’re interested. It’ll set you back £14.99.

Namco Bandai posted good results for the nine months ending December 31, seeing rises in both sales and profit based on decent performances from Tekken 6, God Eater Burst and PSP dating sim AKB1/48.

Update – Obviously, November 26 is today. It’s gone live, apparently.

Namco’s confirmed that the free Tekken 6 DLC rumoured yesterday will release on November 26.

The update includes:

• Improve input response
• Selectable search priorities for ranked matches
• Optimize data transmission between fighters and spectators
• Signal strength bars improved
• Chance to cancel match before it begins after displaying the opponents signal strength

Tekken 6 producer Katsuhiro Harada has told PlayStation Europe that Namco is considering DLC for the fighter, and if created, it will be free.

“There is a strong possibility we will [release DLC],” he said. “However, even if we were to do so, it would be free to the end user.”

Free online co-op and patches are currently in the works, so it looks like there could possibly be more on the horizon for Tekken fans.

Namco’s just put out a statement confirming a Tekken 6 patch is on the way to “improve the online game experience” for the fighter.

Translated: it’ll knock out some of the online game’s well-documented lag.

Namco Bandai has announced that over 2.5 million copies of Tekken 6 have shipped worldwide.

Games been out for just a couple days in the US and was released today in the UK.

Hopefully some sales figures will be released soon as well, so we can jump up and down for joy – or kick stuff, which would be more “Tekken style”, we reckon.

Namco PR chap Lee Kirton’s said the reason for bringing Tekken 6 to 360 is to allow the game to be enjoyed across the board.

“Namco Bandai wants this title to be available to everybody,” he said, speaking in the video you can find after the break.

“We want everyone to experience it. This is the first time that Tekken’s moved away from the PlayStation format. It’s no longer exclusive to Sony, so it is on Xbox 360… The install base for both machines is pretty huge, and we have to make it available to everybody now.

“We can’t just take it down the exclusive route.”

Earlier today, Dutch gaming site NextGamer was reporting that a Tekken 6 250Gb PS3 Slim bundle was set for a December release in Europe.

According to the site, the image of the bundle could be found on the Sony website, and since we were unable to find this ourselves, VG247 contacted Sony UK for confirmation.

Well folks, it’s not coming to the UK.

“We’re not doing that bundle, and it may be from one of the [other] territories, as we all have different ones,” a Sony UK rep told us.

So there you have it folks. No Tekken 6 bundle for the UK. You’ll have to be satisfied with the ones featuring Uncharted 2 and InFamous instead.

Next Gamer is reporting that another Slim bundle is set to be released.

Posted on the sight, for your viewing pleasure, you will find Tekken 6 bundled with the 250Gb PS3 Slim.

The site says it got the picture from the official Sony site, and are estimating that it will run you around €349.

We’ll contact Sony and see if we can get more information on this.

Admit it. You’ve always wanted a Tekken hat. Fortune smiles on you this morning, then, thanks to the announcement of Tekken 6′s pre-order bonuses for the UK.

For the early fight adopters in the audience, Game has special collector cards (PS3, 360); HMV has t-shirts (PS3, 360); Play.com has lapel pins (PS3, 360); Blockbuster has Tekken baseball caps (only on PS3, apparently; and Gamestation has an indispensable Tekken Calendar (again…).

You cannot say fairer than that. It’s out on October 30.

Tekken 6 on PSP was shown to be in fine form today as Namco released 14 new shots. Get them after the break.

The game’s still listed as an “autumn” release. We’ll let you know as soon as the publisher decides to get more specific.
