Ubisoft went “explosive” with Blacklist at E3 to get noticed
Ubisoft’s Patrick Redding has said the reason the developers went with an all-out action debut for Splinter Cell: Blacklist was so the game wouldn’t get lost “in the backdrop,” of other offerings during E3 2012.

Report – Paramount in talks with Ubisoft on Splinter Cell movie
Deadline has reported that Paramount is in talks regarding a film version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, although when asked, the studio declined comment. According to the report, Ubisoft “will be very involved and retain control over how the game is translated into a film.” Earlier reports indicated Warner was a front runner, but it appears Paramount is the safe bet. Raymond: Existing IPs allow for innovation testing, Splinter Cell info “in coming months”

Rumor – Splinter Cell and PoP Trilogies in HD hitting PS3 by year’s end
