Game industry parody RPG Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory will feature a Namco Bandai tribute. Siliconera reports Compile Hearts has been able to secure Tekken-chan, a new character representing the eponymous fighter series. It’s not clear how the character will fit in with the existing cast, but she’s expected to be presented as DLC, like CyberConnect 2 and Marvellous AQL’s characters. The PlayStation 3 exclusive launches in the west this month.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory was expected in the US in under two weeks, but has been pushed back an additional nine days, Siliconera reports. The latest in series of PlayStation 3 RPGs spoofing the games industry itself, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is now expected in Europe on March 15, in the UK, in the US on March 21, and in the UK on March 22.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, the latest in Compile Heart’s PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG series which sends up the console wars, will release in Europe on March 15. NIS America confirmed the release date today, as reported by Gematsu. Both previous Hyperdimension Neptunia games are available in the west, and Victory hits the US on March 12 after an August Japanese release.

Mugen Souls from Idea Factory and Compile Heart, releases next week on PSN courtesy of NIS America. Mugen Souls plays out in a turn-based fashion and with free movement on the battlefield, similar to Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 for PS3. Have a look at the video below. It’s out October 16.

Rising Star Games has announced Idea Factory’s strategy-RPG, Blazing Souls Accelate, will land on PSP and PSN April 27 in North America. The anime-styled title is also playable on Vita. Via Eurogamer.

Ghostlight has announced it’s to release Agarest: Generations of War 2 exclusively on PS3 in cooperation with Idea Factory, Compile Heart, and Aksys.

The official website for Atouteki Yuugi Mugen Souls has had the curtains pulled back, and is now available for perusing. The game is in development at Compile Heart and Idea Factory, with Keiji Inafune heavily involved, and will be released on PS3 in Japan during March 2012. Thanks, Andriasang.

Okay, we knew Record of Agarest War was heading to PSN, we just didn’t know when.

Now, according to D’toid, Aksys Games is bringing it to the PS3 service this fall.

“This is one of those titles where morbid curiosity really hits you once see some screenshots,” stated Michael Manzanares, associate pProducer, Aksys Games. “Instead of being nothing but cheesecake, Record of Agarest War turns out to have some length and girth to it. Color us surprised.”

Note the word girth. Not too surprising of a word considering the sausage eating connotations within the game. Maybe we are just being perverted though.

Anyway, Compile Heart, Red Entertainment and Idea Factory have crammed in over 100 hours of gameplay featuring loads of stuff that can be taken the wrong way should we type it.
