Agarest: Generations of War 2 releasing on PS3 in summer 2012

Ghostlight has announced it's to release Agarest: Generations of War 2 exclusively on PS3 in cooperation with Idea Factory, Compile Heart, and Aksys.

Set for a summer 2012 release in the US and Europe, the game takes place after a burst of light caused destruction over the land, after which demons began spreading across the world. Known as the "Day of Light", survivors such as amnesiac Weiss and an "enigmatic" Agent of the Divine named Eva, need to resurrect those who Weiss, apparently, slaughtered.

In order for Weiss to atone for his crimes, he is to become the “Vessel” in which the power of the divinity he slaughtered will be stored - then, the stored power can be used to return to life those he killed.

The game will include: a revamped battle system which is active grid-based, HD graphics, Move-compatible mini-games such as Bathtub, Shiatsu, and Massage (snigger), and a newly designed free-roam world.

A Collector's Edition is also in the works, and will be announced at a later date.
