Sony has released screens, collector’s edition goodies, details, and a video for the sixth expansion of Everquest II, titled Sentinel’s Fate.

In it, players will explore the lands of Odus, go on epic quests, hack and slash through dungeons and tons more stuff.

It’s out February 16 at retail, followed by a digital launch on the 23rd and is an all-in-one compilation pack.

There’s also the EverQuest II Sentinel’s Fate Collectors Edition, which along with the contents of the normal package plus more, all detailed passed the break with the trailer and a ton of screens.

This was a rather large week in MMOs as far as news went, and not all of it was Halloween related.

Past the break you will hear all about how Ultima Online is still going strong, get familiarized with the new patch for Aion, read up on Cryptic’s Blood Moon event via a dev chat, PvP henchmen and Guild Wars, Alganon’s delay, China’s ban on males playing females in games, and many other bits of stuff that didn’t hit the front page during the week.

Loads of MMOs are planning Halloween and fall festivities for users, but some have already launched tricky goodness.

You can find out more about those past the break, but while you are headed that way you will also learn other sorts of stuff  like: Legends of Norrath’s eighth expansion has launched, CrimeCraft is headed to iPhone and Facebook, and having gone free-to-play D&D Online is doing great, apparently.

Rumor has it that Sony Online Entertainment has filed a US trademark for the titles EverQuest: Underfoot and EverQuest II: Sentinel’s Fate.

Curse found the information and granted, EQ fans are always up for a new expansion, but don’t take it as a sure thing until something is announced.

Not that the US Trademark site would lie or anything, just sayin’.

The SOE Fan Faire is next week so maybe we will know more then.

EverQuest II’s Monument and Might game update goes live today.

Now players can take full advantage of Research Assistants, 80 new quests in the Rise of Kunark overland zones, player-written books, and new Charasis West Wing group quests.

Not much going on with MMOs this week, but what little there is, we thought we’d share with you.

Those who play Lord of the Rings Online should take a look at the changes coming to Bree, EVE Online players were ripped-off, Star Trek Online added  timelines, an EverQuest documentary is coming to Fan Faire 2009, and Final Fantasy XI is getting an update in July.
