Michel Ancel shares another piece of Beyond Good and Evil 2 artwork

Yep, a new Beyond Good and Evil game is looking more and more likely.

Beyond Good and Evil designer Michel Ancel has posted another piece of artwork on his Instagram account. This new image also appears to be concept art of some kind, similar to the one shared earlier this week.

This time, the image shows a shark, presumably the same race as Francis and Rufus from the original game. Surprisingly, the caption made reference to today's Ubisoft board meeting, in which Vivendi - which now owns a chunk of the company - is expected to push for more control over the French publisher, something Ubisoft does not want.

"Ready for the fight. independence #ubisoft day," it reads.

Beyond Good and Evil has been a dormant franchise for a long while, though talk of a sequel to the cult classic never really dried up, thanks in large part to teases from Ancel and Ubisoft over the years. Many believe the new game to be funded by Nintendo, which could explain why we started hearing about it again this week.
