Battlefront celebrates Star Wars Day with player bonuses, free trial

Star Wars Battlefront will be free-to-try on PC from May 4, a date long associated with tracking down the one acquaintance you have who doesn't yet know the joke.

Log into Origin any time from 11:00am PT May 4 to download the free trial. It offers four hours of play.

All maps and modes will be available to try, with the exclusion of Outer Rim "or future expansion content", which suggests the trial will be available indefinitely, not just on May 4.

Existing Battlefront players are also invited to celebrate Star Wars Day. Those who log in will receive a one-time bonus of 4,444 credits. This will be handy for the new Hutt Contract releasing on the same day, which challenges players to spend 3500 to 8000 credits and complete bounties to unlock the Bacta Bomb Star Card (health boost to player and allies).

Star Wars: The Old Republic players haven't been overlooked. Knights of the Fallen Empire is available as a free trial through May 30, and anybody who logs in before May 4 will receive the M4-I6 Zakuulan Astromech Droid Mini-Pet. Finally, a double XP event is active May 3 through May 10, and the bonus applies to PvP commendations and Legacy XP, too.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is also celebrating; visit EA to learn more.
