Double Fine news: Day of the Tentacle Special Edition, Broken Age PS4, Grim Fandango video

Double Fine's Tim Schafer made three announcements today during Sony's PSX 2014 event, but of the three, the announcement of Day of the Tentacle Special Edition seemed to please the crowd the most.

The remastered version of the 1993 game, which is also known as Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the Tentacle, will be released by Double Fine Productions on Linux, Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Vita next year.

Previously announced Grim Fandango Remastered also has a release date for Linux, Mac, PC, PS4 and Vita: January 27. A trailer for the game is posted below.

Finally, Schafer said that both halves of Broken Age will be released at once on PS4 and Vita. This will occur alongside Act 2's release on Steam next year.
