Saints Row: Gat out of Hell standalone co-op experience announced for 2015

Volition and Deep Silver announced during its PAX Prime panel today that Saints Row: Gat out of Hell would be released in 2015.

The standalone title will run you $20 and will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

You will play as Johnny Gat and Kenzie in two-player co-op running around Hell to rescue your boss who is also President of the United States, remember?

According to various tweets from folks sitting in on the panel, the size of the game map is around half that of Steelport and you will be able to sprout demon wings to fly about the realm.

Also, the weapons will have names based on stories and curses from the Bible. One weapon is apparently a gun that fires off items culled from the 10 plagues of Egypt and some are a nod to the seven deadly sins as well.

Here's the story synopsis:

Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington embark on a quest to save The President/God Emperor of the Universe from Hell’s infernal city of New Hades. After teaming up with former enemy Dane Vogel, they learn The Boss is going to be forced to marry Satan’s daughter! The Saints must conquer the demon-infested city and save their friend before it is too late.

Gat out of Hell is down for a January 27 release in North America and January 30 in the UK, and if you buy the Saints Row 4: Re-Elected version for PS4 or Xbox One, Gat Out of Hell will import your save data so that your version of the Saints boss will appear in the cutscenes.
