This is how Batman would look as a Final Fantasy character

Final Fantasy character designer Tetsuya Nomura is behind the latest DC Comics Varian Play Arts Kai figure, which shows off a very different Batman.

Batman has never looked so flamboyantly spiky as in Nomura's design, which is making its debut at San Diego Comic Con. This is just the first in a new series of Batman Play Arts Kai figures designed by Nomura, apparently. A release date and price are still to be determined.

If you're scratching your head as to how this collaboration came about, it's likely because Square Enix is pretty pally with DC. This isn't the first DC Comics character to appear as part of the Variant Play Arts Kai series.

Nomura is behind the Kingdom Hearts series, but is also responsible for the character design of Final Fantasy 7, and is director of Final Fantasy 15.
