Thursday, 5th June 2014 14:45 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be shown via a new trailer at E3 next week, so Hideo Kojima decided to get the hype train rolling by streaming some live gameplay on a PlayStation 4. Salivating yet? Good. Grab a napkin and head below.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be released on PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime in early 2015.

Yay! The box is back… That is going to over powered as fuck in multiplayer and early 2015? So it is indeed cross-gen and not next gen rumoured? Fine by me.

The Stream is stuttering a little bit. Here’s one in 1080p without any drops:

Nice to see Kojima didn’t exclude the cardboard box. :D

    Can’t wait for this game.

Looks the “phantom cigar” and Diamond dogs branded box must be byproducts of Big Boss’s new mother base within Phantom Pain.

A nice spiritual successor to the bandana (and keeps his long hair in check), his pony tail was present in the E3 trailer.
