The game was confirmed today for Xbox One and Xbox 360, along with news that the racer will include Forza Motorsport 5′s Drivatar technology. Its flagship car is the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán, which can be seen on the cover above, along with an all-new weather system.

Speaking with IGN, creative director Ralph Fulton said “[Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One.”

He told the site that Forza Horizon 2 will take place in Southern Europe, a setting Fulton says will lend the racer, “incredible diversity,” and, “amazing vistas.” It’s set around a big music festival, just like the first game.

With all these announcements you’ve think E3 isn’t happening next week. Cross-gen again? Well at least in this case MS remembers they have 360 to support/send off.

Since 2011 Forza is on track to be another annualised series, rotating with Turn 10/Playground Games.

    @3

Please stop posting, for your own sake.

Ontopic: Atleast it’s out this year, which is news in itself considering all the delayed news lately (The Order, Quantum Break).

This is a proper contender for racer of the year against Project Cars and (maybe) DriveClub.

The first one had one of the best soundtrack ever for a video game (Yuuuuuuck!) and allows you to blast through the open road in an Aventador J while racing a frickin’ plane.
What more could you ever want from a racing game?

Ultra realistic physics and 4k resolutions?
    Pffffft.

@9 If the order ever releases? Playstation has a problem with everything getting delayed. Knack and Killzone were rubbish. Driveclub has to go up against project cars. Resogun was fun for 10 minutes. The Playstation has launched in twice as many territories as Xbox and there is only 2 million sales between them. Plus sony are nearly bankrupt and focus a little too much on indie games. Also Xbox have a lot of suprises at E3. Like Dino Crisis:)

I do wonder if it is not to soon for a new forza, is less than a year, i hope it maintains the quality, But maybe its because i dont like this type of racers, my favorite ones are motorstorm, burnout,PGR, split second and saddly blur, but i hope it delivers just for the fans.

So what, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break don’t exist?

As for those PS4 games…Driveclub is a driving game (original…not) and Knack bombed. Resogun did well and 1866 is looking good, but who knows how it’ll turn out. The PS4 has some good games coming up…but not for a while yet. And most of those are sequels of existing IP.

360 too? Strange seeing as Forza 5 was Xbox One only.

This is exciting news. Yet another pre-E3 reveal, makes me wonder what kind of secrets they are still keeping.

And it’s been confirmed that the 360 version will be on a different engine, so it’s not really cross-gen. That’s a good thing too.

Okay, I have to ask, do any of you actually play video games?

Forza Horizon is Forza in name only. It has close to no similarities with Forza Motorsport in how it plays. Sure it may run on the same engine or physics model or whatever and it does use the same car rating system as Forza Motorsport but Horizon is worlds apart.

    Look past the branding. Seriously.

@9 GK Wow you actually had to name Knack on that list?

How does Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, TitanFall sound?
