Nintendo launches 'recommended software' 3DS XL promotion in Japan

Nintendo of Japan has launched a new promotion that packages in a 'recommended' game download when customers buy a new 3DS XL. The first recommended titles are Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Level 5's Yo-kai Watch.

Purchasers of a new 3DS XL receive a voucher redeemable on the eShop. The offer is running between April 26 and September 30. The recommended games will change on May 31. Purchasers can hold off on redeeming the voucher until the next set of games is announced, but it will expire when the offer ends.
