Microsoft and Dell to share tech applicable to Xbox, Android , Chrome OS devices

Microsoft and Dell announced a patent licensing agreement which will allow the companies to share technology and "build on each other’s innovations." The deal continues the companies' 30-year relationship, and the new agreement will see both using applicable "intellectual property" related to Android and Chrome OS devices and Xbox gaming consoles. Under the terms of the agreement, the firms "agreed on royalties for Dell’s products running the Android or Chrome platforms and on consideration to Dell for a license for Xbox gaming consoles." Details on what the agreement entails for Xbox consoles was not provided.
