Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will have a sweeping soundtrack. It has to, because according to Mercury Steam, it features the largest orchestra “ever used in the production of a video game.”

In the video below, watch – and listen- as producer Dave Cox oversees the soundtrack’s production alongside composer Óscar Araujo as its recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 25 in North America and on February 28 in Europe.

It’s a big orchestra, to be sure, but it’s actually not the biggest. So that claim is false! I think that claim deservedly goes to games like Outcast, for which the Moscow Symphony Orchestra was hired to produce its soundtrack.

They only show the strings section and a quick peek of the brass section. That’s not the full orchestra.

Was hoping for a new-gen version.
