Xbox One: first major system update due March – rumour

Thursday, 30th January 2014 12:06 GMT By Dave Cook

Xbox One is tipped to get a significant system update that will address several Xbox Live and interface issues in March, according to an alleged insider. It’s the same update discussed by Microsoft’s Marc Whitten earlier this month.

It comes from the same tipster who dated Forza Horizon 2 for September, Crackdown 3 for 2016 and Halo 2: Anniversary for November 11. Hit the links for details on each game.

The tipster posted his claims on NeoGAF initially, but The Verge has since claimed to have verified the update’s March release.

It really really needs a complete over-haul of a lot of its prime components.

I would Doubt MS would release Halo anniversary on Xbox one at the same time as the next Halo. So that means Halo anniversary is either 360 only or there will be no halo 5 this year.

Support for Dolby. While DTS surround sounds better and more enveloping, everything under the sun is Dolby-compatible.
