Moon and Dementium developer will reveal 3DS FPS this week

Renegade Kid, the team behind multiple atmospheric first-person games for DS, will revisit the genre on 3DS.

The news comes via Jools Watsham, the developer's generally frank and open co-founder and director.

"Breaking News: An announcement of an Announcement. Our FPS for 3DS will be revealed this Friday, January 24. Stay tuned. Excite," he said on Twitter, along with multiple exclamation marks removed as per Pat's sterling editorial policies.

For those not in the know, Renegade Kid is a small indie team whose work has mostly appeared on Nintendo platforms, with occasional forays into iOS, PC, PlayStation 3 and Vita.

it's probably best known for Mutant Mudds, but before that it produced three first-person titles for the DS - sci-fi shooter Moon, and two entries in the horror series Dementium. All three werre well-received for their excellent use of the portable's modest hardware, so it's exciting to see what the team can do with the comparatively more powerful but still constrained 3DS.
