Wonder Flick, Level-5′s new RPG, gets a gameplay-heavy trailer

Level-5′s next foray into the RPG genre was recently announced as Wonder Flick, a cartoony but gorgeous looking game for both current and next gen consoles. A new trailer for the title has now been released, and it shows a great deal of gameplay.

Scored by Nobuo Uematsu, the trailer shows off Wonder Flick’s old school RPG sensibilities, featuring what looks like linear exploration and turn-based combat. It also shows how the game will link to a mobile and tablet app.

Wonder Flick is released in Japan next year, so it’s unlikely to come west for a little while after that. It’s coming to PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and Wii U, so chances are you’ll be able to play it.

Thanks, Nintendo Life.

@1 Open world isn’t an evolution, just another genre. A game can be really good without open world and the oposite is also true.
