Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, Assassin’s Creed: Pirates logos pop up online – rumor

Friday, 6th September 2013 17:19 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation may be released on platforms other than Vita if a logo on a Chinese forum is to be believed. According to the screencap, the game’s logo calls it “Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD – as noted on the supposed list of upcoming digital releases from Ubisoft. This suggests a PC, PSN and Xbox Live launch. Also noted is something called Assassin’s Creed: Pirates, which Eurogamer suggests is a mobile game tie-in for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Hit the link for more and keep this under your rumor hat until confirmation comes.

I can imagine this being true as no doubt sales of Liberation must have been poor considering the Vita’s install base.

Define “poor” Ubisoft have already stated they are pleased with how it sold:

@2 Well, I got it and was definitely not pleased with it. It is awful. All the worst parts of AC packed in one game with nothing to enjoy.
It looked good enough, but compared to Soul Sacrifice or Killzone SW it was crap.

Yep, it’s a soulless piece of shit.

It diluted the already shallow franchise into its basic elements, a truly horrible experience.

Well Ubisoft were pleased with sales and you weren’t pleased with your purchase.

Do what i do and sell it, trade it in.

For what its worth it was an enjoyable experience that one time and Multiplayer has remained untouched because its that piss poor.

Wow, it’s soooo hard to spot the fanboys on this website…

    It’s annoying, I just don’t know who is a Sony fanboy anymore…

Maybe it’ll be easier to spot someone who will defend a decidedly average game they had nothing to do with its production, just because its on a system that gives them a hard on every time they turn it on…

I wish more people would do stuff like that.

    @ Topic

AC libration is an awful, awful game. And unfortunately, owning it on the space age format of ‘digital download’ (LBoss) means I can’t trade it… If PSN had a gifting system, I’d give it away sooner than I could say; ‘rushed bastard of a AAA release…’

For me, AC on Vita just highlighted all the systems weaknesses. The controls were average. The graphics were obviously downsized compared to other versions. The game just didn’t lend itself well to the console IMO.

Judging by metacritic, it was widely recieved as an ‘average’ game. Now, the franchise in itself has become ‘stale’ very quickly (again IMO), but I really don’t think it lends itself to the yearly update.

The controls feel clunky and un-natural, the free running feels poor and scripted, the combat is automatic… It portrays all the hallmarks of a franchise that needs to be left alone.

Where have you gone dude? Or was the one snarky comment all you intended to deliver?

This was a great idea for a character, a great idea for a game, and a game turned to shit
