PES 2014 won’t release on Wii U due to lack of demand, says community manager

Wednesday, 5th June 2013 10:25 GMT By Dave Cook

PES 2014 was revealed yesterday for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but series community manager Adam Bhatti has confirmed that Konami’s game will not be released on Wii U.

We reported on the PES 2014 reveal, screens and new features here.

When asked by a fan if PES 2014 was releasing on Wii U via Twitter, Bhatti replied, “No, we didn’t announce it so it won’t be coming”. When asked why, he added, “No demand for it.”

When pressed further he added:

What do you make of the above? Should Konami commission a Wii U build in the absence of FIFA 14 on Nintendo’s console? Let us know below.

Thanks Eurogamer.

Don’t care much for soccer games, but it looks like Konami isn’t developing any games at all for the Wii U at the moment. That is not good…
