Wasteland 2 inventory preview shows grid, list and image systems

In this age of slick, seamless interfaces and accessible RPG systems, it’s hard to imagine younger gamers coping with the cumbersome menus and complicated systems of old school games. Wasteland 2 has a heck of a challenge in providing the complexity its backers demand while not actually delivering the confusing morass they’ve forgotten ever existed. This preview video shows how InXile Entertainment is tackling the problem and provides excellent fodder for complaining that things aren’t like they used to be and/or not innovative enough.

Wasteland 2 comes out in northern autumn on Linux, Mac and PC. It is the sequel to a 1980′s classic which inspired Fallout.

Thanks, Polygon.
