Need for Speed: next-gen screen suggests PS4, Xbox One reveal

Wednesday, 22nd May 2013 09:51 GMT By Dave Cook

Need for Speed could be heading towards some king of next-gen announcement for PS4 and Xbox One, following a screenshot teaser on the series’ Australian Facebook hub.

The image shows a Koenigseggon police cruiser, and was posted with the tag-line, “Have no rules, show no mercy”.

E3 isn’t far away so we should know more about what this is about soon. Meanwhile you can catch all of our Xbox One coverage here, including another treat for car fans, Forza Motorsport 5.

Thanks Kotaku.

    Another Hot Pursuit then?
Criterion won’t be handling this one I hope, they need to focus their resources on a new Burnout for PS4/XB1.

It could be in development at EA’s new European studio. Let me fish out the rumour URL.

Didn’t he tweeted afterwards that it was him personally that isn’t working on a racing game?
I have absolutely no idea how Criterion can develop a new Burnout without a creative director though, so I suppose you’re right.
