He confirmed the information when talking with Polygon, saying it will see a release on Windows PC at some point, but not giving any further details.

The freshly announced Xbox One will ship with the Kinect sensor and must be connected for the console to operate. It will also support voice commands which will activate certain functions, even when the console is in a sleep mode.

What? Is MS finally embracing the PC as a gaming platform? Pfft, I doubt it.

I think more and more will soon hook the PC into the TV as well as/or instead of a console.

I don’t care that you don’t care. I won’t be getting it anyway.

Eh. You’ll have clever coders who’ll have drivers for this a week after release if it’s what people want. Drivers for the original Kinect and the Wiimote were easy enough, and the 360 pad had unofficial drivers before the official ones came along.

I think Microsoft overstates their necessity. If there are those out there who desire the new Kinect, then drivers will be made.
