Monday, 25th March 2013 08:37 GMT By Dave Cook

Earthbound – known as Mother 2 in Japan – is the next game to hit Wii U Virtual Console in Japan, as part of Nintendo’s campaign, which sees classic games hitting the eShop at ¥30 each.

The game hit Virtual Console in Japan on March 20th and will stay at ¥30 until April 18th.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Earthbound’s Shigesato Itoi sat down to discuss the game in a Japan-only edition of ‘Iwata Asks’.

Fear not Earthbound fans, as Earthbound Central has translated the whole thing. You can read it right here for insight into the game’s creation, Itoi’s career and more. If you’re a fan you should check it out.
