Eternal Darkness trademark extended
Nintendo of America has once more applied to extend its trademark for Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, the 2002 cult-favourite Silicon Knights Gamecube title. This is the fifth extension, and every time the Big N does this everyone starts speculating wildly that a sequel or re-release is in the works – but then absolutely nothing happens. Silicon Knights was rumoured to be working on some sort of followup before a legal battle with Epic grounded the developer.
Thanks, Cub3d.

Much as I’d like to believe a sequel is coming, this doesn’t have to mean anything. They just extended the trademark so no one else can have it.

It’s a shame Nintendo is never going to do anything with this series, because doing something with it would go a long way toward redirecting them from their current future as a repeat of Sega.

I think this is the right time for nintendo to do a proper followup, i think they will not let pass this one up on the Wii U

Yeah I’d love to see a follow up to ED. The time is right!
@2 – My friend Nintendo are a very long way from becoming the next “Sega”. Careful what BS you believe!
