GameStick pre-orders open ahead of global launch

GameStick creators PlayJam have opened pre-orders for its games console, which earned a staggering 648% of its Kickstarter funding goal earlier this month. It seems a lot of people want the device.

In a release sent to VG247 this morning, PlayJam confirmed that global pre-orders for GameStick were now open over at its official website.

Pre-orders are being powered by Amazon, and will be shipped after Kickstarter funders receive their orders in April. The price remains the same at $79 per unit.

Anthony Johnson, CMO at PlayJam said of the pre-order announcement, “January was a pivotal month for GameStick with the success of the campaign ensuring that we could bring the device to life."

"Since the campaign closed, we have received thousands of e-mails from individuals keen to ensure they remain one of the first to receive the product. By continuing to offer GameStick on pre-order, we will be able to maintain momentum ahead of our planned retail activity”.
