Fire Emblem: Awakening US release delayed, retailers suggest

Fire Emblem: Awakening hits the 3DS’s eShop in the US on February 4, but reports suggest the physical release may lag a few days behind.

GameInformer spoke to several retailers and was informed that a small delay was likely.

Best Buy said it didn’t expect the game till February 6, while GameStop put the likely date as February 8. Amazon hasn’t supplied a new date but expects delays.

The retailers blamed shipping issues for the setback.

A 3DS exclusive tactical RPG, Fire Emblem: Awakening has received high praise ahead of launch. It’s due in Europe in April.

Why can’t they do blanket releases with eshop stuff?

Especially with Euro and US?

Surely it’s possible, the translation work is already done?!

Same with Mother / Earthbound games.

Also, where’s Scribblenauts Wii U for us UK gamers? :(

Just got my copy at Nintendo World in NYC. It’s awesome thus far and lives up to it’s hype ;)

I think they mean the 3DS’s eShop. Not Wii U
