Final Fantasy: Agni’s Philosophy tech demos surface
Three new videos have turned up showing off the astounding real-time rendering tweaking possible in Square Enix’s Luminous engine.

The videos below show animators quickly and easily making adjustments to aspects of the Agni’s Philosophy trailer. This might not look like much if you’re unfamiliar with how cinematic trailers are put together, but rest assured this kind of power is eye-opening. No wonder Square Enix believes it can lure developers in by keeping this engine close.
Square Enix intends Luminous to power the next generation of Final Fantasy games. Almost incredibly, the publisher expects assets used in cinematics like these to be shared with general gameplay.
Thanks, Zak.
